Misty Davaar Island
An opportunistic shot of Davaar Island, Campbeltown afloat a bank of mist on Easter Day when out rolling our eggs with the kids that I just couldn’t pass up.
As we were done rolling our eggs and walking back down the hill I turned and took a few quick shots with my point and shoot as I had always wanted to get this type of shot of the Island, however I will admit I would have preferred to have been closer to the waters edge and done a long exposure but sometimes you just have to go with the flow and make do with what you have.
Taken from up near Crosshill Loch looking across Kilkerran and Campbeltown Loch I never really had much time to compose or to think about the image much so it was really a quick snapshot and then make the most of it in post editing, which due to the lack of colour I knew it would be a black and white edit.
With the mist rolling over it creates a very eerie atmosphere for the Island, like a setting for a murder film or something lol, infact one of the the other shots I took was zoomed in that I may edit in the future and give it the full dramatic eerie effect so keep an eye out for that one.
