I haven’t been able to any landscapes recently, awaiting the birth of our 3rd child who seems to be too comfy in her mummy’s belly so posting an image taken a while ago on Islay just down from the school looking across Loch Indaal towards Bruichladdich. Three slightly different edits from the same vantage point. This is a blend of a 4 minute exposure taken just before the sun set, and a normal exposure. I like long exposure photography but sometimes if you don’t get long enough the cloud movement looks as though it is an error, which is why I painted in the sky from the normal exposure. I like the little burst of sun rays from the clouds in the first image but when I tried to contrast the highlights and shadows I lost that sun burst in the second image, not sure which one I prefer best!
