Crosshill Loch, Campbeltown, Kintyre, at Sunset

The Daily Posts Weekly Photo Challenge this week is Layers. Here is my interpretation for this challenge. A stunning silhouette of Crosshill Loch, Campbeltown at sunset.

Most of the time when I compose an Image I like to build it in layers, with interest in the foreground, middle ground and background. The image above is one of my favourite silhouettes and shows the layers fairly obviously contrasted against the lighter colour of the water and sky which has been colour shifted for a dual colour contrast.

    1. Thank you Amanda, she does let her inner beauty show every now and then, just lucky to have the camera at the ready 🙂

    1. Totally agree Steve, I knew I was going to silhouette the image before capturing it but wasn’t until I started editing that I went for the colour, I usually like to go with the colours of the sunset but these just looked right after editing.

    1. Thanks Zen, yes the two tone silhouette has a solemn effect in this image. I think the reflection in the water helps it a bit.
